Perfecting Gas Chromatography Sample Preparation
Gas chromatography (GC) is best suited for the analysis of volatile or gaseous compounds. Ideally, a liquid sample or its vapor would be directly introduced into the injection port. But to analyze the vast majority of target compounds that are present in complex matrices, the analytes must first be isolated from the sample and made amenable for analysis. The results of the analysis however cannot be better than the quality of the sample.

- Transportation and safe storage
- Sample naming
- Choosing an appropriate extraction technique
